The Silicon Valley Photovoltaic Development Center is designed to be the premier development environment in North America for advancing the creation, refinement and commercialization of photovoltaic (PV) products.
This new center offers solar manufacturers a full spectrum of development services provided by leading vendors in equipment, engineering, testing, failure analysis and certification. In addition, the center makes available a host of other services needed to bring PV products to market.
The Silicon Valley Photovoltaic Development Center was created by SVTC Solar, a business unit of SVTC Technologies, a leading independent semiconductor process-development foundry. SVTC’s customers find they are able to speed development enough to skip product generations by focusing on their technology and letting SVTC focus on the rest.
Recognizing the surging demand for a facility devoted exclusively to the solar industry, SVTC established the center to offer the infrastructure – including development equipment, support and engineering services – that would spur this same product development acceleration and improvement for the solar industry.
